Since the Bowie post is rather huge and I think this detail is rather important I am breaking it out as an addenda here with a simplified graphic.
(By Christopher Loring Knowles – The Solar Satellite) – Bowie depicted himself as the Dead Jesus on the cover of the 1999 album ‘hours…’ so it’s important to look at some of the other symbolism at work. It’s especially poignant given that he intended his new album Blackstar to be a journal of his illness and passing onto the next realm. The last detail I need to nail down here is the actual time of death, which if it was in the 5’O Clock hour would be absolutely mindblowing.

Not many fans of the singer David Bowie (born as David Robert Jones in 1947) are aware that he had a secret
obsession with the occult, Gnostic doctrines, the paranormal, Aleister Crowley, Nazi’s and cocaine. He was by no means a Nazi himself, and in fact, his mother was Irish and part Jewish. There have been several books that have documented these alleged facts.
It was also documented that in his younger years he was into the teachings of the Gnostics and Jewish Kabbalah. In his cocaine heydays it was said, that he was sometimes paranoid and used protective pentagrams to protect himself against the dark spiritual occult forces.
I found it fascinating that Bowie was interested in the occult and Gnosticism. In 1976, Bowie had said, “My overriding interest was in kabbalah and Crowleyism. That whole dark and rather fearsome never–world of the wrong side of the brain.” … And more recently, [in 1995 he stated] ‘I’ve been interested in the Gnostics.'” (more…)

Saint John vs the Arch-Heretic Gnostics of Crete, is a little known biblical battle that is one of the most important
stories about Gnosticism that has ever been told. A battle of Gnosis, that some Christians might consider a war of Christ vs the Antichrist, angel vs demon, or good vs evil.
But in simple truth, it is really a battle that places the Christian Gnostics of the New Testament Magic (New Law) vs the much older Gnostic Jews of the Old Testament Magic (Old Law). A battle of races, magic, immortality, religion, law, and glory that has been waged here on earth, in the heavens and in hell between these two empires for well over 2,000 years.
In summary, this was an allegorical battle of being a Gnostic who is in charge of his own soul, body, thoughts, actions and destiny, to then handing over this sovereign authority to the Roman Republic and their new Messiah who would now preside as Chief Gnostic under the title of Pontifex Maximus. The festival of the 25th of December, was celebrated by the Druids in Britain and Ireland with great fires lighted on the tops of the hills.
The festival was repeated on the twelfth day, or what we now call the Epiphany. In some parts the fires are still continued.
Godfrey Higgins, commenting upon this, says, “We have not now remaining “any documents to inform us what, amongst the British Druids, was “the object or name of this festival, but perhaps we may gather it from “circumstances.”It was the great festival of Frey, and this is evidenced by the words of the Venerable Bede, who wrote in the 7th. century; he states that this very night was observed by the heathen Saxons. What is the true Mark of the Beast? This question has been asked for many centuries, since it was written in the Book of Revelation, that
in the end days, people small and great, rich and poor will be required to receive that mark of the beast. This event in our time is again being talked about with the various Apocalyptic signs around the world, such as the Catholic connection with the sudden resignation of Pope Benedict XVI and the installation of Pope Francis who had taken his name after St. Francis of Assisi. It is a prophetic sign for the fact, that it was St. Francis of Assisi who had bore the marks of the ‘stigmata’ on his skin. (more…)

The word mystery comes from the Greek word myo and means “to close or shut.”
From this same root comes the word mystes, which means “[an] initiate”.
The initiates of the sacred mysteries were a distinct group of enlightened humans who were a separate class from those people whom they called the profane.
A word that is derived from the Latin profanus which means “outside the temple, not sacred,’ or the uninitiated.”
