Hall – The word pyramid is popularly supposed to be derived from πῦρ, fire, thus signifying that it sphinx-and-pyramid-egyptis the symbolic representation of the One Divine Flame, the life of every creature. John Taylor believes the word pyramid to mean a “measure of wheat, ” while C. Piazzi Smyth favors the Coptic meaning, “a division into ten.”

The initiates of old accepted the pyramid form as the ideal symbol of both the secret doctrine and those institutions established for its dissemination. Both pyramids and mounds are antitypes of the Holy Mountain, or High Place of God, which was believed to stand in the “midst” of the earth. John P. It is the Path of Devotion and Gnosis inseparably united, the true Sacred Marriage of Soul and Mind, of Life and Light, the ineffable union of God the Mother and God the Father in the Divine Man, the Logos, the Alone-Begotten of the Mystery of Mysteries, the All and One—Ineffability and Effability eternally in simultaneous Act and Passion.”

Initiated into the halls of Truth

Initiated into the halls of Truth.Initiation

Into the Labyrinth I walk through the never ending twists and turns in the darkness on my journey to slay the beast.

Guided by the eternal light of my soul, I reach the end of the path only to find that the monster is waiting for me.

Raising my sword, I prepare to kill, when at the last moment I see the beast is in fact me pleading for mercy.

I hesitate only for a moment, and then plunge my sword into the soulless beast killing my Ego once and for all.

Exiting the Labyrinth, I realized the depth of my victory.

Not only did I defeat my biggest foe, I have redeemed my immortal soul.
