(CNN) — President Barack Obama will meet with Pope Francis for the first time on March 27 at the Vatican, the White House announced Tuesday.
Obama’s visit with the leader of the Roman Catholic Church will be part of a larger European trip that the President will take that month.
“The President looks forward to discussing with Pope Francis their shared commitment to fighting poverty and growing inequality,” a White House news release said.
Obama raised the Pope’s stance on inequality in an economic address in December.
“Across the developed world, inequality has increased,” Obama said. “Some of you may have seen just last week, the Pope himself spoke about this at eloquent length. ‘How can it be,’ he wrote, ‘that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points?’ ”
U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry told reporters last week — after his own visit with the Vatican’s secretary of state — that Obama would soon meet with Francis. But Kerry did not specify when.
Obama met Francis’ predecessor, Benedict XVI, in 2009. That meeting, which took place at the Vatican, was Obama’s only meeting with a Pope.

Breaking news from the Gnostic Warrior. Santos Bonacci was arrested in Australia today.
The spokesperson for Santos, claims he was kidnapped by Queensland Sheriff’s deputies without a true warrant and is being held in custody unlawfully. The arrest took place at the home of Sonia and Hiromi Bonacci, who it has been reported that Sonia is his niece, and Hiromi is his wife.”
For several years, Santos Bonacci has been an outspoken critic of governments around the world, and he has also spoken out against the Vatican and Pope for various alleged crimes. Lately he has been involved in various freeman and freedom movements, where the legal authority of government is challenged in court via the law and reclaiming of DNA.

Neptune is God of the Sea to the “Sons of Neptune,” who are the great Initiates of the Sacred Isles of Crete. It is from this island, where we find the first true tales being told of sea-faring men, and who had formed the first navy under the leadership of the first law giving kings of the sea. A people known in myth and biblical stories, as the Minoans, Phoenicians, Curetes, Telchines, Philistines, Judeans, Greeks, the Sea Peoples, etc.
THE FIRST ORGANIZED NAVY
It is Neptune who is credited with building a Navy and inventing horsemanship. On July 23, there is a Roman Holiday called Neptunalia, that was made in honor of Neptune. When Neptune arrives on the lands he conquers, he not only arrives with his mighty navy, but also his hippocampus-like horses. Many Navy’s around the world still honor “King Neptune” in an ancient tradition of initiation called the “Line-crossing ceremony;”
an initiation rite, still current in many navies, coast guards, and merchant fleets. When ships cross the equator, “Pollywogs” (sailors who have not done such a crossing before) receive “subpoenas”to appear before Her Highness Amphitrite (often various dignitaries, who are all represented by the highest-ranking seamen). Some Pollywogs may be “interrogated” by King Neptune and his entourage. At the end of the ceremony — which in the past often included considerable hazing — they are initiated as Shellbacks or Sons of Neptune, and receive a certificate to that effect.
NEPTUNE AND THE NAVY OF CRETE
In the real Ancient world, the Cretans were well-known for their naval power, and as I mentioned above, they were called by names such as the Sea Peoples and the Philistines, which are two of the most documented sea faring tribes in history. The Ancient Egyptians had simply called them, the “Sea Peoples from Keftiu.” A Navy, who were mercenaries to Egyptian Pharaohs such as Ramesses II. The Sea Peoples are documented extensively in the reign of Ramesses III, who mentions them in the eastern Mediterranean. It was at this exact time, that we see the destruction of the Hittite states of Hatti, Ugarit, Ashkelon and Hazor. In the Medinet Habu temple reliefs, Ramesses’ details the attack of the Sea Peoples in lengthy inscriptions from the mortuary temple:
The foreign countries (ie. Sea Peoples) made a conspiracy in their islands, All at once the lands were removed and scattered in the fray. No land could stand before their arms: from Hatti, Qode, Carchemish, Arzawa and Alashiya on, being cut off [ie. destroyed] at one time. A camp was set up in Amurru. They desolated its people, and its land was like that which has never come into being. They were coming forward toward Egypt, while the flame was prepared before them. Their confederation was the Peleset, Tjeker, Shekelesh, Denyen and Weshesh, lands united. They laid their hands upon the land as far as the circuit of the earth, their hearts confident and trusting: “Our plans will succeed!”
In the Bible, Crete was also known under the old biblical name written in Greek, “Kaftor or Caphtor”; the Arabs had called it Kerith. The Greek historian, Pliny had said that the ancient Cretans were called Curetes, and that their king was Philistides (2). Hence, the Navy of the bible are the Sea Peoples, who were simply known as the biblical Philistines from Palestine. In other historical books as Pliny had mentioned, they were also called the Curetes (Kuretes, Kri’ti). Strabo had written, that these are the names of the various groups known as the Curetes, Corybantes, Dactyls, Cabiri, and Telchines, which are all names that are often used interchangeably with one another. The Latins would call them the Capadocians.
In ancient mythology, the Sea God Neptune is connected to the Island of Crete along with his brother, who happens to be the King of the Gods, Jupiter. Together they do battle against the Titans. Titan is known today as Saturn VI, and is the largest moon of Saturn. The largest moon of the planet Neptune has been given the name Triton, as Neptune is the Roman equivalent of Poseidon. It was the King Jupiter who had deposed his father Saturn from the government of the universe and divided it into three portions, assigning the ocean to Neptune, the infernal regions to his brother Pluto, and retaining heaven and earth for himself. Together they accomplish enormous feats such as the building of the walls of Troy, the taming of the horse, the raising of the island Delos (Kos and now Dia) out of the sea, and the destruction of Hippolytus by a monster from the deep. Neptune’s symbol is the trident. The sons of Neptune were Triton, Phoresis, Proteus and Glaucus. The wife of Neptune was a sea nymph by the name of Amphitrite, a daughter of Nereus.
According to Hesiod‘s Theogony, Triton dwelt with his parents in a golden palace in the depths of the sea; Homer places his seat in the waters off Aegae. The story of the Argonauts places his home on the coast of Libya and rationalized by Diodorus Siculus as “then ruler over Libya.” Triton was the father of Pallas and foster parent to the goddess Athena. Pallas was killed by Athena during a fight between the two goddesses. Triton is also sometimes cited as the father of Scylla by Lamia. Triton can sometimes be multiplied into a host of Tritones, daimones of the sea.(Wikipedia)
The mighty Tritons were a race of sea gods and goddesses born from Triton. Over time, Triton’s class and image came to be associated with a class of mermaid-like creatures, the Tritons (Τρίτωνες), which could be male or female, and usually formed the escort of marine divinities whose upper parts were human, and whose lower parts resembled fish. This part man and part fish we can surely witness today in the US Navy with their elite unit of God Men of the Sea, known to us as the Navy SEALS. These are the Triton’s of the modern world whose symbol is the Trident.
Neptune had caused earthquakes and deluges with his mighty trident. According to Hesiod, Oceanus was one of the Titans who was considered the ruler of the exterior waters encompassing the earth, and interior seas and rivers were assigned to Neptune.
Let us not forget what happened to the mythological island of Atlantis.
MODERN CONNECTIONS
These connections we can research today with the help of the famous 20th century French oceanic explorer, Jacque Cousteau who had also searched for the Lost Island of Atlantis in the year 1980. It was at this time, that he and his team had explored the islands of Crete looking for signs of the sunken Atlantis. Not only did they find many signs there, they had also found a virtual sunken city, a port, boats, treasures and mysterious walls that may someday verify that Crete and its surrounding islands such as Dia (Kos), may in fact be the true location known as the mythological Atlantis.
I wrote about this connection before in my article, Dragon Isle: The Kohen of the Lost Island of Dia. This evidence from Jacques Cousteau proves that people not only had inhabited the island of Kos (now known as Dia), but that it was also a major center and/or port at one time. In an old article in the Radio Times, Cousteau stated that the Minoan Port of Dia had once been active. He had claimed, that on Dia was the biggest and most important ports in the whole island of Crete. Here is the part of the official explanation of the discoveries that Jacques Cousteau had made when he had explored there:
The Undersea discoveries of Jacques Yves Cousteau in 1974-5, while searching for the lost Atlantis between Crete and Santorini, with a special bathyscape, are of great ecological and archeological interest, as seven wrecks were found on Dia. In 1976, Cousteau discovered some squared and rectangular rocks in the seabed that made up an artificial breakwater, which researchers named Cyclopean Walls. Cousteau suggested that there stood one of the biggest and most important ports in the whole island of Crete. The harbour appeared to have sunk due to the destruction caused in the 1450 BC volcano of Santorini. However, the port was later found to be much older, thus research became more complicated.
Today, the only visitors to the island would be a priest from Crete who performs mass on Dia (Kos) just once a year, but for the most part, the island is uninhabited except for a few protected animals. Please watch this video below at right around the 17 minute marker, to witness the section of film where Cousteau goes into Crete and his exploration of the Island of Dia (Kos).
The whole island is also covered with many ancient structures, evidence and ruins such as the location of ancient city of Knōsos that support these facts. Many Roman Emperors had ancestors who were Cretans or strong political connections. When Rome had conquered the Cretans and Kohens of Kos, Augustus Caesar had a city named after him called Caesaria, and later Constantine the Great had a retirement home there, where he had also died on Crete. The Jewish-Roman historian, Joesephus had married a royal Cretan woman as his fouth wife. For thousands of years, these islands were simply some of the most important political locations that you will find in all of written history.
It is from this sacred Holy Island of Crete, where the King Neptune was the great master of the seas with Zeus and his family. Zeus is the king of the gods and a mythological name for the planet Jupiter. Hence, AS ABOVE, SO BELOW. This relation with Neptune and Jupiter is explained by 33rd degree Freemason, Manly P. A few words at this time concerning the symbolism of Neptune. While Neptune is popularly associated with the sea, he occultly signifies the albuminous part of the great egg of Jupiter. In certain schools of Orphic mysticism, the inferior universe (like the supreme, all-inclosing sphere) is symbolized by an egg. This lesser egg has Jupiter for a yolk, Neptune for the albumen, and Pluto for the shell. It is therefore evident that Neptune is not associated with the physical element of water but rather with the electrical fluids permeating the entire solar system. The era of the Age of Enlightenment during the 17th and 18th centuries gave rise to numerous cultural and scientific advancements around the world. Reforms in the ways society reasoned, and challenges to tradition and faith, were common practice during these years. Advancements in scientific knowledge also prompted skepticism and encouraged independent thinking. One of the most notable groups to have emerged from this period of Enlightenment, was the Bavarian Illuminati. This organization is believed to have formed as a way to promote questioning of the status quo, and as a way to encourage opposition to intolerance of governmental and religious oppression.
When Was the Illuminati Founded?
Founded on May 1, 1776, the Illuminati formed with a core group of five men as the Ancient and Illuminated Seers of Bavaria, in upper Bavaria. The Illuminati, as it has become to be known, had perhaps a unique membership list, as well as an intriguing list of goals that would eventually make both governments and religious orders sit up and take notice, and take drastic measures as a result.
1776 is the same year, the country of America was founded. Is that a coincidence, or part of the Illuminati plan?
Although it wasn’t the first group in history to promote what might be considered radical ideas at the time, the Illuminati took shape under the direction of just a small number of individuals.
Who Were Some of the First Members of the Illuminati?
The first membership of the Illuminati included just five men, and perhaps the most notable among them was Adam Weishaupt, who is generally considered to be the founder of the organization. Born February 6, 1748 in Bavaria, Weishaupt began attending a Jesuit school by the age of just seven years, and eventually went on to graduate from the University of Ingolstadt, in 1768 with a Doctorate of Law degree. He used this academic training to become a professor of law, and eventually went on to become a professor of canon law; a highly regarded station, that during this time was reserved only for Jesuits to hold.
It was during this time, that Weishaupt began to formulate his ideas that would eventually align with the original foundation of the ideas behind the Illuminati. Those ideas were increasingly in direct conflict with the ideas purported by the Jesuit teachings, but he went ahead and acted on his beliefs that had been growing within him, and through which could be seen the ideas grown out of the period of Enlightenment.
Weishaupt originally wanted to refer to the organization as the Order of Perfectibilists, and referred to himself as Brother Spartacus. The group of five men, eventually grew to an international group of influential and powerful leaders. Noblemen, the wealthy, the industrial savvy, and even some men with mysterious pasts were all linked to membership within the group. The characteristics of members appear to have included powerful, wealthy, independent thinkers, who were interested in innovation in society, religion, and government. Many of them were disenfranchised with the decisions and actions of religious orders, particularly the Roman Catholic Church, and the governments of Europe that were considered oppressive by many.
The quote below is by Adam Weishaupt (code named Spartacus) – Founder of The Order of the Illuminati on May 1, 1776. Weishaupt was initiated into the Masonic Lodge “Theodor zum guten Rath”, at Munich in 1777.
“In secrecy our strength principally lies. On this account we should always conceal ourselves under the name of some other association. The inferior lodges of Free Masonry are the most convenient cloaks for our grand object, because the world is already familiarized with the idea that nothing of importance, or worthy of attention can spring from Masonry.”

None is fitter than the lower degrees of Freemasonry; the public is accustomed to it, expects little from it, and therefore takes little notice of it. How Was the Illuminati Organized?
The members of the Illuminati were divided into three separate groups within the order. These three classes included the Novice, Minerval, and Illuminated Minerval. These were further divided into several Degrees, totaling ten in all, and from which a pyramid hierarchy can be seen. According to some accounts, those ten Degrees were further divided into thirteen Degrees, or internal levels.
The Novice Members
If you’ve ever heard of a fraternity soliciting members, this might be the closest comparison to entering the Order of the Illuminati. The newest members were attracted through the premises put forth by the order – i.e. personal betterment and attainment of wisdom. Those who were approached to join this very elite society were not told the full details of the Order, and they were not told who else might be members of the group (especially member of a higher Degree). The superiors who overlooked their recruits would determine when it was time for the Novice to be promoted to the next level – Minerval.
The Minerval Members
Stemming from the name Minerva, a Roman goddess of poetry, medicine, wisdom, and music among other things; this second class of the Order of the Illuminati was symbolized by the Owl of Wisdom, just as the goddess Minerva was often depicted with such a symbol. This Owl of Wisdom can still be seen within the symbols of many modern organizations. The members of the Minerval class were able to meet some of the higher ranking members of the group. They were also indoctrinated into more of the core beliefs about humanity, government, and society.
The Illuminated Minerval Members
The achievement of reaching the highest level of the Order, the Illuminated Minerval class, did not happen easily. To reach this highest class, members had to commit to perfecting specific projects or professions, and they had to lead those in the Minveral class as well. Members were to constantly seek ways to learn more about human nature, scientific advancements, and to find freedom from political restraints. They were expected to live in such a way that would contribute to the overall goals of the organization.
As the Order grew, the classes eventually changed to some extents. Instead of Novice, the first was called Nursery, which included several smaller subgroups or Degrees. The second level was still known as Minerval, but this was subdivided into five other Degrees. The third and highest level known as the Mysteries, was divided into four subcategories.
The Order of the Illuminati and the Freemasons
If you’ve heard of the Illuminati, chances are you might have heard of Freemasonry. The debates continue as to just how closely tied, if at all, these two separate organizations were. It has long been reasoned that the ties between the two organizations, the Freemasons and the Illuminati, do exist and are perhaps quite strong. Many of the original Illuminati members came from Freemason or Masonic Lodges, and many of the premises for the Order of the Illuminati, mirror portions of the foundations of the Freemason movement.
Freemasonry developed several hundred years prior to the establishment of the Illuminati, but many of the ideals and goals of the groups overlapped, if not coincided with each other’s. Betterment of humanity and increased pursuits of wisdom and advancement were both embraced by the Freemasons and the Illuminati.
After just a year as a formal, yet somewhat secretive, group, Weishaupt formally joined the Masonic Lodge of Theodore of Good Counsel in Munich a year after he formed the Illuminati. Here he promoted his ideas, which were not always welcomed by those at the Masonic Lodge, but that he attempted to meld together into a more singular agenda. This merging of ideas and ideals seemed even more likely when Baron Adolf Franz Friederich Knigge joined the Order of the Illuminati. Knigge already had Masonic ties, and he was the one responsible for reorganizing the Illuminati’s three-tiered hierarchy. The influence of Knigge is often looked at as the tie that bound the two societies together.
What Were the Goals of the Illuminati?
There were several goals of the Order of the Illuminate that all seem to reflect to some degree the ideas that were born from the Age of Enlightenment. These goals are ‘alleged’ to have included:
• Eliminating the influence and control that the Roman Catholic Church appeared to have over governmental decisions
• Ending prejudice, including efforts to accept women’s intellectual capabilities and other abilities on a more equal scale
• Pursuing independent scientific exploration not reliant on government or religious guidance
• Allowing for philosophical freedom in the pursuit of richer human nature
Because the Illuminati has a past of secrecy, there are no real public pronouncements about a formal agenda that was publicized.
What Happened to the Illuminati?
You very well may have heard of the Order of the Illuminati in modern media, pop culture, discussions, and even in connections with current fraternal organizations. However, the formal and original Illuminati order was actually quite short-lived. In 1784 the Bavarian government, along with pressure from Catholic leadership, outlawed secret societies such as the Illuminati. Such organizations were threats to government control and it appears that documents found that challenged the agenda of the government were extremely threatening, if only in the way of proposing change.
Weishaupt, in response to the government’s position against what was deemed his secret society, also lost his position at the University of Ingolstadt. He fled Bavaria in attempts to be safe from possible persecution and prosecution for his activities in the Order of the Illuminati. The other members of the group appear to have dispersed as well, each moving on to separate and somewhat distinct pursuits.
Where Is the Illuminati Now?
Even though the formal Order of the Illuminati lasted less than ten years, a relatively miniscule amount of time in the picture of history, the lasting influence has been extraordinary. While the original disbanding occurred because the Illuminati was essentially outlawed, the seeds of the ideas appear to have been planted.
It is widely considered a strong possibility that the relationship Weishaupt created between the Order of Illuminati and the Freemasons laid the foundation for a connection to ever remain. In fact, some feel that the founding fathers of America were Freemasons who strongly aligned with much of the Illuminati doctrine. Some of the more extreme arguments even say that the Illuminati, through the Freemasons, was responsible in part for the French Revolution.
Today the term Illuminati often refers to a number of secret society organizations who claim to have ties to the original Bavarian Illuminati. However, no clear and distinct ties can be found that directly tie modern groups to the original Order of the Illuminati.

It is therefore necessary for the international community to adopt adequate legal instruments to prevent and counter criminal activities, by promoting international judicial cooperation on criminal matters.
