Ranchers shoot wolves because they eat young “expensive” calves… WTF are they supposed to eat when the livestock has overtaken the environment where the wolves’ natural prey existed?
People here in Sedona complain about being afraid on the trails because of coyotes or mountain lions and will carry weapons to “protect” themselves when they go out in nature hiking… What makes you think YOU deserve to live MORE than the animals whose home YOU are invading? (more…)

In a quaint little Texas town with only 7,500 residents, corrupt politicians and black sludge are plaguing its residents. As they say, everything is bigger in Texas and that must include the corruption.
Over the past couple months, the FBI has been wrangling up law breaking and bribe taking politicians in Crystal City, about 130 miles southwest of San Antonio. It has been reported that all the City Officials have been arrested thus far for various federal charges such as bribery and even human smuggling.

A Colombian film has been nominated for an Oscar for the first time in history.
The films, “Embrace of the Serpent,” is about a local shaman’s account of changes imposed on Amazonian indigenous tribes by western civilization. It is directed by Ciro Guerra.

Reuters reported this week that at least 100 dismembered prisoners and visitors have been found in drain pipes at a Colombian jail.
Body parts were found at La Modelo jail in Bogota, one of the Andean nation’s biggest penitentiaries, as well as in jails in the cities of Popayan, Bucaramanga and Barranquilla, said Caterina Heyck, an investigator at the attorney general’s office. (more…)
