The Gnostic Ring of Carl Jung

The Gnostic Ring of Carl Jung

“The serpent is the age-old representative of the lower worlds, of the belly with its contents and the intestines.” – Carl Jung

This picture below is the personal ring of the Great Modern Swiss Gnostic, Carl Jung. The image on his ring is of the deity known as Chnoubis.

Jung himself describes the ring in C.G. Jung Speaking: Interviews and Encounters. W.McGuire and R.F.C. Hull page 468:

“It is Egyptian. Here the serpent is carved, which symbolizes Christ. Above it, the face of a woman; below the number 8, which is the symbol of the Infinite, of the Labyrinth, and the Road to the Unconscious. I have changed one or two things on the ring so that the symbol will be Christian. All these symbols are absolutely alive within me, and each one of them creates a reaction within my soul.”

A close up of his ring can be found below.

Chnoubis

Chnoubis is the the Gnostic Agathodaimon (good demon) who is often portrayed in medical amulets and coins as a lion-sYMBOLS - Chnoubisheaded and or man-headed serpent, with two legs, a crown of seven or twelve rays and the tail of a serpent. This demon had always been considered  as good and is known to be the driver away of bad demons, and the destroyer of demons.

As I had mentioned in many of my previous articles on demons, the ancient Phoenicians, Greeks and Greco-Egyptians did not consider demons to be all evil and or bad. They had led the belief that there were both good and bad demons who were considered wise and all knowing. Demons who had the power to do good or bad dependent on their free will.

You will also find this demon’s name spelled in various different ways throughout history such as Ξνούβις Khnoubis, Khnoumis Kanobis, Knoubis, Ammon-Chnubis and Ammon-Chnoumis to name a few.

Let me also add that Chnoubis is not really a serpent, but a worm. (more…)

The Holy of Holies in Our Skulls

In the Hebrew bible of the Old Testament and in the New Testament, the Holy of Holies (Kodesh Hakodashim) sits behindHoly of holies the two pillars and refers to the inner sanctuary of the Tabernacle where God was believed to be present. It is further described as an inner shrine housing the Ark of the Covenant guarded by two-winged golden cherubim, and an outer chamber (Holy Place) with a golden lampstand, table for showbread, and altar of incense.

The meaning of tabernacle(Hebrew: מִשְׁכַּן‎, mishkan), is “a dwelling place or to take up temporary residence; especially: to inhabit a physical body.” This allegorical description above of the Holy of Holies as an inner shrine and a temporary residence to inhabit a physical body, tells us esoterically where this tabernacle is located.

It is not only a man-made building or structure, but also part of the human body, and that in science we can simply call the tabernacle our skull which holds the chalice for our brains, with the winged golden cherubim guarding our thoughts being our hippocampus or ammon’s horn; a subject I have written about many times.

This is the beginning explanation of the hidden esoteric meanings behind some of these gnostic biblical stories that were meant to teach initiates to know thyself and to reach a state of true gnosis. This wonderful gnostic story is further explained by Manly P. Hall who had written about this in the Initiates of the Flame: (more…)

Seal of Solomon

Man’s animal nature partakes of the earth; his divine nature of the heavens; his human nature of the mediator.” – Manly P. HallSeal of Solomon

The Seal of Solomon is also known as the double triangle of the Kabbalists, or Creator’s Star. It is a hexagonal figure formed of two interlaced equilateral triangles. Esoterically speaking, the upright triangle embodies the masculine, as the downward the divine feminine; and in science, the two triangles are the symbols for both fire (phosphorus) and water.

Two key chemical energies of our DNA that we must seek to master in order to create a life that is akin to a heaven on earth. On the contrary, if we let these forces control us, then our lives may be one long walk through the pits of hell.

The Seal of Solomon signifies all that is unified in perfect balance with these chemical energy forces. A master of the AS ABOVE and SO BELOW, so you can be as healthy as possible on the AS WITHIN, both mentally and physically, in order for you operate effectively on the AS WITHOUT. An alchemical heaven that you simply create with your thoughts, will, words, and actions. (more…)

The “forge” of the Philosopher’s Stone

This little shape made of a triangle, a square, and two circles and was thought to be the “forge” of the Philosopher’s Stone.Symbols - triangle, a square, and two circles

When the right materials are used together on this circle, a stone with ultimate will is formed. The only thing missing from
this, is the Man and the Woman in the center circle.

“Fac ex mare et femina circulum, inde quandragulum, hinc triangulum, fac circulum et habebis lapidem Philosophorum.”

“Make of man and woman a circle, from that a square, then a triangle, then another circle, and you will have the
philosopher’s stone.” (more…)

The initiated brother realizes that his so called symbols and rituals are merely blinds fabricated by the wise

By Manly P. Hall – “The initiated brother realizes that his so called symbols and rituals are merely blinds fabricated by the wise to perpetuate ideassigns and symbols incomprehensible to the average individual.

He also realizes that few Masons of today know appreciate the mystic meaning concealed within these rituals.

With religious faith we perpetuate the form, worshiping it instead of the life, but those who have not recognized the truth in the crystallized ritual, those who have not liberated the spiritual germ from the shell of empty words, are not Masons, regardless of their physical degrees and outward honors.
