By Manly P. Hall – Symbolism is the language of the Mysteries; in fact it is the language not only of
mysticism and philosophy but of all Nature, for every law and power active in universal procedure is manifested to the limited sense perceptions of man through the medium of symbol. (more…)

A bell is a simple sound instrument and device that was originally invented for and used primarily
for religious services. It was said that bells would be employed in religious functions of the priest to frighten and keep evil spirits away. Bells were often buried in the tombs of royalty and noblemen. Many famous ancient bells have been preserved through the ages.
Bells were often used to notify people outside the church so that they knew the exact moment when the Hebrew High Priest entered the most holy place, and that church services were about to begin.
The priest would be clothed in splendid vestments of blue, red and purple, trimmed with pomegranates and little golden bells, greeting and blessing the people. We can find bells today with the many Holy bells of the Roman Catholic, Greek and Russian Orthodox Churches. Similar bells can be found with the Buddhists, the Brahmins, Indians and Shamans to name a few. (more…)

The path to true Gnosis is often symbolized in Masonic ritual with what is called the Tracing Board
and the letter G would represent the word “Gnosis.” The Masons are who we could call the inheritors of the ancient Gnostic teachings, mysteries and symbols that went underground after the advent of early Christianity.
This image to the right shows the seven steps representing the seven levels of consciousness that a Mason must climb in order to reach their own Gnosis. Starting at step one or the 1st degree, the Mason is clearly shown they must work daily at obtaining the wisdom and truth that is needed to ascend to the light.
What many Masons fail to realize along their path in that these Gnostic teachings are not just about serving thyself to reach a selfish state of Gnosis, but also to serve others. It is treating all people with respect, light and love and not just their Masonic Brethren.
There is no middle path. (more…)

Researchers from the University of Haifa have found what they are calling a bronze mask in the
image of the Greek god Pan that was recently discovered at an archaeological dig at the Sussita National Park in northern Israel.
According to head researcher Dr. Michael Eisenberg of the Zinman Institute of Archaeology, bronze masks of this size—larger than a human head—are extremely rare and none have yet been found depicting Pan or any other figures from Greek or Roman mythology.
In Ancient Greek mythology, Pan is the son of Zeus. Diodorus Siculus had said that Pan was adored by the Egyptians. Pan usually terrified the inhabitants of the adjacent country, even when he was nowhere to be seen, that kind of fear which often seizes men, and which is only ideal or imaginary, has received from him the name of panic which is derived from the Latin “panici .” His statues were to be seen in all the temples, and that to his honor they had built in Thebes, the city of Chemmis (Egypt), that is, the city of Pan or Panopolis. “The man, who hath no music in his soul, is fit for treason, stratagem, and spoil.” – Shakespeare
Music is the magic of the soul. It can entertain and sooth, heal, kill, lead and control human emotions like no other divine device ever created by man. This is why today famous musicians lead and almost control millions of people with their songs, and why some of them are knighted by the Queen as part of her royal court such as Sir Elton John and Paul McCartney for their divine magical abilities they have inherited from their ancestors.
