Lost Ancient City of the Monkey God Discovered in the Honduran Rain Forest

Archaeologists have discovered an ancient lost city hidden deep within the Honduran Rain Forest. Lost city of monkey godThe team of experts were led to the site in search of the fabled “White City,” also known as the “City of the Monkey God.”

The mysterious lost city has never before been explored until now, according to a story first reported on NationalGeographic.com.

Experts say the lost city has extensive plazas, earthworks, mounds, and even a pyramid belonging to a culture which had lived thousand years ago. They also found various stone sculptures that appear to be untouched since the city was abandoned. (more…)

Ides of March

The Ides of March (Latin: Idus Martii or Idus Martiae) signifies the date of March 15th on which the Pontifex Maximus (Pope) of julius-caesr-assasination1Rome, Julius Caesar was assassinated at a meeting of the senate in the year 44 BC. His killers had been composed of approximately 60 Roman Senators who had conspired with the leaders of the murder plot, Cassius and Brutus. Caesar was stabbed a total of 23 times, which ultimately led to his death.

The murder of Julius had occurred shortly after the Roman Senate had named Caesar dictator perpetuo (“dictator in perpetuity”). Essentially making him the King (Rex) of Rome. Coins called ‘denarius’ were minted in his honor, with his likeness on one side, and with an image of the goddess Ceres and Caesar’s title of Augur Pontifex Maximus on the reverse. He received these honors in the year 44 BC  in the Temple of Venus Genetrix, and rather than rising to meet those who were honoring Julius, he defiantly remained seated. Daylight Saving Time: AKA War Time

Early this Sunday at 12 am, many Americans will be setting their clocks ahead one hour as the Daylight saving time 2official daylight saving time (DST) returns. However, many people here in the U.S. are unaware why we change our clocks forward at this time of year.

Contrary to popular belief, this is not done for farmers or just so we get an extra hour of sunlight in the evening as we head into the spring. The reality is that farmers are the number one critics of changing the time, and people’s biological clocks get thrown out of whack for weeks when their bodies have to forcibly adjust to this unnatural time change.

The true reason why we have daylight saving time is because of war and saving the governments money. It is also a more friendly alternative phrase to the original meaning which was “War Time.”

We had begun this practice under the Standard Time Act of 1918 as part of the US War Time Act during World War I, a wartime measure to conserve energy resources and fuel. (more…)

Sign the Petition: No human being should be FORCED to be vaccinated against their will

I wanted to share with you; a new White House petition that you might not be aware of that is forced vaccinationagainst proposed forced vaccinations. It already has 125,682 signatures.

The petition is really simple and to the point. No pun intended.

Here is what it says:

“No human being should be FORCED to be vaccinated against their will and/or personal/religious beliefs. I petition against making vaccinations of any kind mandatory. This includes forcing children to be vaccinated to attend public schools, activities, and daycare centers. This also includes adults working in the public or private sector.”

5th Century Celtic Prince Burial Site Discovered in France

Archaeologists in France have discovered an ancient Celtic burial ground from around the 5th Celtic artifact francecentury with a skeleton buried alongside a chariot, a long bronze sword found in its sheath, and magnificent Greek and possibly Etruscan artifacts.

Experts are not entirely certain of the gender of the 2,500 year old remains, but they believe it is an ancient Celtic prince because of the items that were found at the site.

They say he died in Lavau, near Troyes.

Here is what France’s national archaeological dig institute had written:

In the center of a tumulus 40 m in diameter, the deceased and his chariot lie at the heart of a vast burial chamber of 14 m², one of the largest recorded by archaeologists for this time of the end of the early Iron Age ( Hallstatt). Under the collapse of the tumulus levels, the tomb contains funerary deposits worthy of the highest wealth Hallstatt elites.

Arranged at an angle, the most ostentatious objects consist of pools, a cist (bucket) bronze with a thin ceramic fluted décor, a knife in its sheath. The centerpiece of the funeral filing room is a bronze cauldron, about 1 m in diameter.

Four circular handles are adorned with heads Acheloos Greek river god here represented horned, bearded, with bull ears and a triple mustache. The edge of the pot is decorated with eight heads of lions. The work is Greek or Etruscan. Inside the pot rests a ceramic oinochoe Attic black-figure Dionysus lying under a vine faces a female character. It would be a banquet scene, a recurring theme in Greek iconography. The lip and the foot of the pitcher are set with a gold plate, highlighted a watermark meandering decor. It is the northernmost to date. This service Greco-Italic original drink reflects the banquet practical Celtic aristocratic elites.
