Satan Was Baptized a Christian

Satan Was Baptized a Christian

Most Christians would be surprised to find out that who they have been told is one of the evilest angels to ever live, Satan was also a “Baptized Christian.”

Meaning, that he was a person and a Christian sinner just like you, me and the Christians you both love and hate.

As I have written before, we know that the Church Fathers had bestowed the title of Satan on a certain Samaritan man named Simon Magus by Church Fathers. In the Scripture, he is also known as a type of angel called a cherub and legal prosecutor for God who became the defacto God and Prince of this World.

Before the advent of Christianity and the first Apostilistic mission or the Church, Simon was well known in Samaria and all throughout the Roman Kingdom as a High Priest and he was even honored as a God. His religion was primarily that of Gnosticism, as the Church Fathers also labeled him the First Gnostic.

We find that Simon, who we also know as Satan was converted to Christianity in Acts he is portrayed as a famous sorcerer in Samaria who was “baptized by Philip the Evangelist” (Acts viii. 5-24) and “followed Philip everywhere.” (Acts 8:13)

We are told that Simon baptized with water and also added fire by lighting above the head of the baptized a light flame of naphtha from Lake Asphaltis, to fulfill the Baptist’s prediction of Christ’s baptism with the Holy Ghost and fire.

It was said that Simon’s speaking of “the power of the Holy Ghost” as ” purchasable commodities ” is subsequent to his baptism. Then it is written that “He then was an apostate from the faith on the profession of which he was baptized.”

Simon Magus was a magician who was later baptized as a Christian. In this passage, Luke does not explicitly say whether Simon Magus was a true convert or not. At the beginning of the narrative, Luke says that “Even Simon himself believed” (Acts 8:13).

But towards the end, Peter condemns Simon:

“May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money! You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God” (8:20 -21). After Simon Magus requests Peter to pray for him, the story of Simon Magus end and he is never mentioned in Scripture again.

The biblical account concludes with Simon’s/Satans repentance and apparent reconciliation with Christianity after his condemnation by St. Peter.

For the Apostle Paul had said, “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-14)

“They went out from us, but were not of us;” and whom Peter (2 Pet. ii. 4, 14) charges with false doctrine and licentiousness. Next, we find Clement (i. 14), say to his readers to “follow God rather than those who, through pride and sedition, have become the leaders of a detestable emulation.”

Polycarp also (Ep. to Phil. ch. vii.) says, “Whosoever does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh (the Docetae holding the sentiments of Simon), is antichrist; and whosoever perverts the oracles of the Lord to his own lusts, is the first-born of Satan.” Hermas (Pash. ch. vi.) says, “The motheaten branches are the apostates and traitors of the church, who have blasphemed the Lord in their sins.”

Psychiatrist describes how Satanic Witch was completely demonically possessed

In the video below, one of the world’s most well-known Demon Inquisitors, Dr. Richard Gallagher explains his 25-year role in diagnosing demon possession.

He describes his first case involving a priest who asked for his psychiatric opinion about a devout Catholic couple who believed they were being attacked by evil spirits. The wife was especially troubled and when Gallagher examined the woman, he found multiple bruises that would spontaneously appear.

Dr. Gallagher told Yahoo News, “It didn’t seem to be explainable on the basis of any medical or psychiatric pathology. She appeared to me to be completely sane. I had never seen a case like that before.”

Dr. Gallagher later determined that there was no medical cause for her injuries. She was being attacked by demons!

He also wrote in an article for the Washington Post where he shares one of his most memorable cases involving a woman who was a Satanist and self-professed High Priestess. Dr. Gallagher had written, “She called herself a witch and dressed the part, with flowing dark clothes and black eyeshadow around to her temples. In our many discussions, she acknowledged worshiping Satan as his ‘queen.’

“I’m a man of science and a lover of history; after studying the classics at Princeton, I trained in psychiatry at Yale and in psychoanalysis at Columbia. That background is why a Catholic priest had asked my professional opinion, which I offered pro bono, about whether this woman was suffering from a mental disorder. This was at the height of the national panic about Satanism.

(In a case that helped induce the hysteria, Virginia McMartin and others had recently been charged with alleged Satanic ritual abuse at a Los Angeles preschool; the charges were later dropped.) So I was inclined to skepticism. But my subject’s behavior exceeded what I could explain with my training,” Dr. Gallagher said.

“She could tell some people their secret weaknesses, such as undue pride. She knew how individuals she’d never known had died, including my mother and her fatal case of ovarian cancer. Six people later vouched to me that, during her exorcisms, they heard her speaking multiple languages, including Latin, completely unfamiliar to her outside of her trances.”

He stated, “This was not psychosis; it was what I can only describe as paranormal ability.

I concluded that she was possessed.”

In the video below,  Dr. Gallagher explains the story how the night before he was scheduled to meet with the Satanist woman that at about 3 am in his bedroom his two cats just went just completely berzerk.

When he spoke with the woman the next day, the first words out of her mouth were, “So Doc, how did you like those cats last night?”

Why Saint Peter is Called Satan by Jesus

Jesus turned to his Apostle Peter and said, “Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.”(Matthew 16:23)

An interesting note that I would like to point out to you is that Jesus uses nearly the same exact words for Peter that he had used to the devil in his temptation (Matthew 4:10). ”

We know through Scripture and the testimony of the Church Fathers that Saint Peter’s original name was Simon and he was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, leaders of the early Christian Great Church, and Prince of the Apostles.

But what is often left out of these name appellation is that Peter was also known as “Satan.”

To many people, the thought of calling the “Rock of the Church” which Jesus built his ministry – Satan is an apostasy to the Christian faith but that is exactly what has occurred for approximately the last 2,000 years. These facts are explained allegorically all throughout the Scripture as I have presented in my articles such as Who is Satan?, and Satan: Thou art the anointed royal cherub with Gnosis that covereth.

Satan is presented to us as the God of this World, a deceiver, and a liar. These name appellations show us that he is in charge and he lies for God in order to carry out his special mission as Ezekiel 28:14 describes how the royal anointed cherub – Satan an assignment to “cover”. This Hebrew word means to cover as a protector guard.and or fenced in hedge of protection.

Mathew 16:23 shows us that Jesus called for Saint Peter to get behind him and he is Satan. Most people would say that to get behind Jesus is a good thing and I would agree but calling the same man Satan is a statement that is contradictory.

With that said, we must assume this is done on purpose as if it codifying a mystical message in allegory.

As I explained in my article, Who is Satan, the word Satan is derived from the ancient Greek Σατάν (Satán) and the Hebrew שָׂטָן (Sātān) which means “adversary, the accuser, to show enmity to, oppose, plot against,” from root s-t-n “one who opposes, or obstructs.”

Therefore, we can say that Peter became an “adversary” to Jesus’s teachings it was because he had followed “the path of men,” and for this reason, he was told by Jesus that he was now “Satan” and he would have to get behind him during his ministry.

What happens with Peter next is indicated by the next passage from Jesus where he says, “Whoever shall come after me, let him deny himself and take up the cross and follow me.”

It is clear that Peter and the Apostles had denied themselves and Mark mentions the two cock-crowings (chap. xiv. 72), thus increasing the guilt of Peter’s denial as Eusebius asserts on the authority of Clement of Alexandria.

The reference to the rooster escapes most scholars’ radar but in my opinion, this is religiously symbolic of the Gnostic times. For the rooster was an ancient religious symbol which represented exoterically as the dividing line between night and day or more appropriately, for light and dark for the Rooster crows to signal the coming day/light of a New Age.

Symbolically, we can say esoterically that the Rooster is the awakening of the Holy Spirit or Holy Fire ie: consciousness and Gnosis of the eternal mysteries. The Rooster representing their savior as the speaker of the ancient Gnostic mysteries for who has louder pipes to crow?

This is why in ancient Gnosticism and with the Templars, we find the most important symbol being that of Abraxas who is normally depicted as a creature like a man with the body of a human being, the head of a rooster, one arm with a shield, and the other with a whip.

As I explained in my article, Abraxas, The early Fathers of the Catholic Church such as Irenaeus and Epiphanius had said that the world, as well as the 365 heavens, was created in honour of ‘Abraxas;’ and that Christ was sent not by the Maker of the world but by ‘Abraxas,’ and according to Jerome (c.347–September 30, 420) who is best known as the translator of the Bible from Greek and Hebrew into Latin, ‘

Abraxas’ meant for Basilides “the greatest God” (De vir. ill. 21), “the highest God” (Dial. adv. Lucif. 23), “the Almighty God” (Comm. in Amos iii. 9), and “the Lord the Creator” (Comm. in Nah. i. 11).

It was for this ancient Gnostic reason that the rooster was placed in the Scripture as one of the most important symbols of Gnosticism and also the Levite priesthood who I have explained in my articles, The Origins of the Kohanim Priesthood and the Levite Priesthood, are descended from the lineage of Aaron and Moses and whom spawned the Gnostic prophet – John the Baptist .

They were true Israelites from the Gnostic Ophite Order of Priests on the Dragon shaped island we know today as Dia. This island is also known by the name of Delos and more anciently as the island Kos or Cos which is named after Ceus (Zeus), the son of Titan, and has been known by various names such as Zia, Cia, Cea, Ceos, Coo, Coos, Cous, Merope, Lemnos, Letos, Staunchio and Patmos.

This is where we will find the famous so-called Rooster Cock Pillar that has since been moved to the “new Delos.” I will explain more about the Rooster when this “Levitical broken-cock” in chains has time…

Back to the two cock-crowings of Peter’s AKA Simon’s AKA Satan’s denial which takes us to Peter at Caesarea where he is preparing for a discussion with the man we know as the First Gnostic – Simon Magus with the symbolic reference to Gnosis with the “rising at the first cock-crowing.”

“When the day dawned, which had been fixed for the discussion with Simon, Peter, rising at the first cock-crowing, aroused us also; for we were sleeping in the same apartment, thirteen of us all; of whom, next to Peter, Zaccheus was first, then Sophonius, &c. After these, I [Clement] and Nicodemus, then Niceta and Aquila, who had formerly been disciples of Simon, and were converted to Christ, under the teachings of Zaccheus. Of the women, there was no one present.”— Recognitions, book 2, chapter

In the “Palace of Caiaphas” Peter renounces his Master three times, and as the cock crows thrice at his third denial.

Let me add that there is also another reference to Peter and Satan was told in Luke, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again [after the denials], strengthen your brethren” (Luke 22:31-32).

Satan: Thou art the anointed royal cherub with Gnosis that covereth

It is said of the angel Satan in Ezekial 28:14 – “Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

In the above passage we not only find that Satan was a type of angel called a ‘cherub,” he was officially “anointed as the cherub that covereth” and a specific reference is made to Satan having been to a place known as the “Holy Mountain of God” and “walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.”

Before we venture into the mysteries of these biblical teachings, it is important that you first understand who is this “Satan Cherub.” In my previous article, “Who is Satan,” I explained how the Catholic Church – the very institution that has brought us this story in the Western World over the last 2,000 years or so had assigned the “title of Satan” to a specific person whom they also called the First Gnostic, Simon Magus.

This same said Gnostic Satan became an “anointed cherub” which evidently shows the power and dominion given to him by God over the earth. In Satan’s temptation of Christ he asserts his authority and power: “And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever, I will I give it.”

Also, please keep in mind the current Vicar of Christ, Pope Francis has gone on record several times during his pontificate mentioning Satan and the Devil. Francis had warned his fellow Catholics in December 2017, “Satan is not a metaphor or a nebulous concept but a real person armed with dark powers” and that he “is more intelligent than mere mortals and should never be argued with.”

With that said, we know that Satan is a person who should never be argued with and he is also more intelligent than mere mortals and also an angel of the order of the cherub. This is the same real person of whom Catholics number as the “Devil ie: the Great Dragon, the Liar, Deceiver and God of this Earth.”

The word cherub, or more appropriately, ker-ub whose meaning is an order of angelic beings as described allegorically in Ezekiel as four living creatures, each with four faces, and each has four wings, two stretched upward sustaining the throne of Yahweh; and two of them stretched downwards to cover the creatures themselves. The cherubim never turn but go straight forward, as do the wheels of the cherubic chariot, and they are full of eyes and are like burning coals of fire.”

We read from the Catholic Encyclopedia that according to Exodus, xxvi, 31, cherubim were embroidered on the Veil of the Tabernacle, separating the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies. “With blue and purple and scarlet and fine twined linen” they were made. How many such cherubim were embroidered on the Paroket, or Veil, we do not know. It is often supposed that as this veil screened the Holy Holies, two large-sized figures to represent guardian spirits or keepers were thereon depicted.”

Ezekiel 28:14 describes how God gave his anointed cherub – Satan an assignment to “cover”. This Hebrew word means to cover as a protector guard.and or fenced in hedge of protection.

Please note that the embroidered colors and material show us what these Cherubs are made of indicating that they are considered royalty. This would explain why Christ asserts Satan’s authority and assignment on earth to place a “cover or veil” over the Holy of Holies, and we now know that the Satan works for God and this is the reason why Satan is called ” the Prince of this World,” “the God of this World,” and “the Prince of the Power of the Air.”

The Catholic Encyclopedia explains the Cherubims association with perfect knowledge, wisdom and royalty;

“Indirectly we can gather from this passage that Cherubim were conceived to be in a state of perfection, wisdom, sinlessness, nearness to God on His Holy Mountain and of preternatural glory and happiness. Unfortunately, the words paraphrased as “with wings outstretched in protection” are difficult to translate: the Hebrew term may mean “cherub of anointing, who covers”, therefore a royal, anointed being, overshadowing others with its wings to shelter them.

If this be so, we must add royalty and beneficence to the characteristics of cherubim.”

So now we understand that not only is Satan ie: Simon Magus considered a royal guardian spirit of the Order of the Cherubim by the Catholic Church, he is called the “First Gnostic,” thus indicating a “spiritual knowledge” that ONLY Satan and his order would understand and recognize.

Namely, the secret teachings of Gnosis contained in mystical Christianity and Freemasonry that truly only the initiated could understand and explain.

This is why many most Jewish writers and Christian Fathers conceived the cherubim as angels with special knowledge, understanding, and full of wisdom.”

For example, Clement of Alexandria had said, “The name Cherubim intends to show much understanding (aisthesin pollen).”

St. Augustine comments on Psalms lxxix, 2, “Who sitteth upon the Cherubim;”

“Cherubim means the Seat of the Glory of God and is interpreted: Fullness of Knowledge. Though we realize that cherubim are exalted heavenly powers and virtues; yet if thou wilt, thou too shalt be one of the cherubim. For if cherubim means, Seat of God, remember what the Scripture says: The soul of the just is the Seat of Wisdom. ”

One of the most notable figures in Ecclesiastical History and a Doctor of the Church, Pope Gregory had said of the cherubim (Hom. in Ev., xxxiv, 10), means “the fullness of knowledge, and these most sublime hosts are thus called, because they are filled with a knowledge which is the more perfect as they are allowed to behold the glory of God more closely.”

I would simply say that the meaning of cherubim is “those initiated angels with true Gnosis of the most sacred mysteries on earth.”

Who is Satan?

Who is Satan?

Perhaps no other figure in modern human history has been talked about, attacked, demonized and slandered more than “Satan”.

In the Christian world, Satan has been known by various names such as the adversary, the Liar, the Great Dragon, the Prince of Evil Spirits, and God of this World, to name a few.

What I find fascinating is that when I researched the dark history of the early Catholic Church’s viewpoints about an evil man who they like to call a Liar and deceiver, I discovered that there was actually a real person who they called Satan and they battled as their adversary with words and magic.

In fact, they also called him the first Gnostic.

The same Church who has carried the story of Satan for thousands of years has brought the Accuser to us in the year 2018 by stating that Satan is in fact, a real person.

For example, the Catholic Pope Francis who is the Vicar of Christ to over a billion people says that Satan is, in fact, a real person who is more intelligent than us.  In December 2017,  Francis told a Catholic television channel TV2000, “He is evil, he’s not like fog. He’s not a diffuse thing, he is a person. One must not talk to Satan, if you start talking to Satan you are lost, he is more intelligent than us.”

The Pope said, gesturing with his hands, “He’s more intelligent than us, and he’ll turn you upside down, he’ll make your head spin. “He always pretends to be polite – he does it with priests, with bishops. That’s how he enters your mind. But it ends badly if you don’t realize what is happening in time. (We should tell him) go away!” he said.

So, who is this Satan that Pope Francis talking about?

If we want to find out who the Church gave the label of Satan, all you have to do is research who the Church Fathers had called Satan and who were their main adversaries and accusers at that time.

And who do we find? – THE GNOSTICS!

The same group the Chruch had battled as “their adversaries” in the early years of Catholicism and the same doctrines of Gnosticism of whom our modern Pope Francis has been warning fellow Catholics about.

This all makes perfect sense. After all, the word Satan is derived from the ancient Greek Σατάν (Satán) and the Hebrew שָׂטָן (Sātān) which means “adversary, the accuser, to show enmity to, oppose, plot against,” from root s-t-n “one who opposes, or obstructs.”

The Gnostics were adversarial to the Church and Rome. They would be the men of knowledge who opposed the Church’s teachings and would plot against her aims.

As I mentioned above, no other figure has been talked about, attacked, demonized and slandered more than “Satan” and in the same hellish breath, in the history of the Church, no other person in the world has been demonized and slandered more than Simon Magus (Simon the Sorcerer, or Simon the Magician).

If you look through the history of the Church, there has only been one alleged real person who was called Satan and that person is Simon Magus. Not only was he called the firstborn of Satan but he was also given the most illustrious title of the “First Gnostic.”

What fascinates me about this story now that I’m a grown man who doesn’t scare so easily is that why would a person who is labeled the “First Gnostic” also be considered the Son of Satan?

After all, the word Gnostic is simply from the ancient Greek gnōstikos, from gnōstos which means “known and to know” based on “cognitive or intellectual learning.” In other words, to be a conscious being. A person who we would call today “awake” or “illuminated.”

If we look at the infamous long history of the Church and how it made war on all knowledge it deemed heretical. The burning of millions of books and people for the knowledge they possessed can easily fan the sulfuric flames of hell for eternity.

It is obvious to me that the early Church made a war on what we would simply call today “knowledge” and on the men who knew, AKA the Gnostics with their chief leader, “Simon Magus.”

The Church Fathers had given him the titles of not only the “First Gnostic” but also the devilish title of “Satan” and his followers would also be slandered with names such as the antichrists, demons, and children of the devil.

2nd century Church Father, Church representative Saint Irenaeus went to battle with the heretics in his Five Books Against Heresies, today also known as “On the Detection and Overthrow of the So-Called Gnosis. Irenaeus had helped lead the attack on Gnosticism and attack on the Gnostic God Simon.

From this point forward Simon Magus became an apostate to the Chruch because his teachings of Gnosis (Spiritual Knowledge) were considered heretical to the Church. He would be officially known in Christianity as the “father of all heresies” and a man who would be given the name of “Satan.”

Irenaeus said that Siom was one of the founders of Gnosticism and calls him and his followers, “offshoots of Satan.”  He (B. i. ch. xxiii.) traces the origins of all sorts of heresies to Simon and speaks of him keeping the prostitute Helena. According to  Irenæus, Simon Peter was the vicar of Jesus Christ, and Simon Jupiter (Magus), was the ‘firstborn of Satan’ and ‘the first of all heretics’.

Now, if we look to Simon’s own people, he was known as a God.

Perhaps, this is why the Roman Latins who recently conquered these same said people decided to launch one of the oldest and fiercest propaganda campaigns against Simon and his followers. Something to think about as you read on.

The Greek philosopher-Apologist in the early Christian Church, Saint Justin Martyr, had said Simon was a native of Cæsarea and was known as a God to his people. In his First Apology (XXVI), Martyr stated;

“After the ascension of Christ into heaven, the devils brought forward certain persons, who said that they were gods; and these not only are not persecuted by you but are even held in honor. Simon, a Samaritan from the village of Gitton, who in the days of Claudius Caesar, by the assistance of devils, performed miracles in your royal city of Rome, and was accounted as a god, as a god was honoured with a statue, which was placed in the river Tiber between the two bridges, and had this inscription in Latin;

“Simoni Deo Sancto,” “To Simon the holy God.”

Martyr concluded, “And almost all the Samaritans, and a few even of other nations, worship him, and acknowledge him as the first god.”

In Acts 8:9—10, the Samaritan the Gnostic Magus is given the title “the Great Power of God” (NIV) or “the power of God that is called Great” (NRSV), thus perhaps identifying him as either God himself, a lesser god, or a powerful representative of God.

Early Church theologian, Origen of Alexandria writes, “It escapes the notice of Celsus that the Simonians do not in any way acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, but they call Simon “the Power of God.”

This title of “the Power of God” is very similar to Satan’s title of the “Prince of the Power of the Air.”

Origen writes, “It escapes the notice of Celsus that the Simonians do not in any way acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God, but they call Simon the Power of God.” In the time of Origen the followers of Simon had dwindled in number to such a degree that he writes, “I do not think it possible to find that all the followers of Simon in the whole world are more than thirty: and perhaps I have said more than there really are” (Conlr. Cels., i.57, quoted by Alford, Gr NT, Acts 8 9).

It is interesting to note that Simon Magus was once known as a God in Rome because he was later symbolized as the Supreme Leader of the Gnostics and their heresies were said to derive its origin from Simon. For this reason to the Church Fathers, he would officially become known in the Scripture as “Satan.”

This person was a Samaritan by birth, from whence he went to Alexandria to receive his education. What many people do not know is that Simon (Satan) was the favorite disciple (student) of John the Baptist and please keep in mind that John the Baptist was also the teacher of Jesus.

This means that Satan, AKA Simon knew Jesus and vice versa.

It was said that Simons alleged great sin was that he had tried to purchase the gift of the power of working miracles like Philip’s conferring the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands. His request refused because of the unworthy motives which had prompted it and he was cursed by Peter.

In the New Testament, Simon, I mean Satan is “the great dragon,” “old serpent,” “devil,” and “Satan who deceives the whole world.” Simon was also known as the “Prince of the Power of the Air, the spirit which worketh in the children of disobedience, and the evil hosts of the heavenly places, the rulers of the darkness of this world.”

To the Church, Simon Magus would be known as the First Gnostic was also Satan. The immortal adversary of the Church of Rome and the accuser of Thy False Brethren who is a power of the left hand of God, and has authority to do harm to those who know not God.

As I mentioned above,  Pope Francis has claimed that Satan is not a metaphor or a nebulous concept but a real person armed with dark powers. The Pope made these remarks during a television interview in December 2017 and has made similar claims all throughout his papacy.

Quite possibly, this is the Apocalypse and the Pope and the Vatican know that Satan is back…

As it is said in 2 Corinthians 11:14 – “If their master himself, who is the “prince of darkness,” the most alien to light, does so, it is less marvelous in the case of them who are his servants.” (Lu 22:54; Eph 6:12″)

Satanic Panic in Chicago

A newly released 1989 document from Chicago Police Department called “Identification, Investigation, and Understanding of Ritualistic Criminal Activity,” de by a Detective “Robert Semandl” shows how to identify teens involved in ritualistic Satanic abuse. The detective was a “gang crimes and ritual abuse specialist” who traveled the country in the 1980’s holding seminars and spoke at conferences to train police and other agencies.

During the 1980’s, a zealous pack of Christians, police investigators and media shit storm had zeroed in on what would forever be known as the “Satanic Panic.”

In the document, Detective Semandl lists the “four stages of Satanic activity” and warns that teens are being seduced by offers of “free sex and drug parties.” You can read the full PDF down below.

It describes the 16 signs of satanic involvement, including using cadles, oils, tarot cards, altars, and ceremonial knives (a “letter opener will suffice,” it notes).

You can also learn the signature of the demon who guards the gates of hell!

In addition to tattoos like black panthers, skulls, and a knife, dripping blood…

The document was discovered by Jennifer Jordan, a PhD student at Stony Brook University in New York, on May 6. She tweeted that her sister, a Florida art teacher, had found the 25-page pamphlet in a supply closet.

In 1987, Simandl told the Minneapolis Star Tribune, “It’s a very complex subject that makes street gang activity look like a nursery school rhyme. It’s not a pleasant topic, but I believe it’s going to be the crime of the 1990s.”

Here is more from the article.

“They sound like campfire stories: tales of frenzied devil-worshipers in black robes sacrificing animals-and sometimes people-before candle-lit altars to Satan.

But to a growing number of police investigators around the nation, stories of ritual mutilation, blood-letting and sometimes murder are all too real. In seminars and conferences, they have begun to train others to see signs of satanic motives behind otherwise bizarre and inexplicable crimes.

One of the investigators, Robert Simandl, a 20-year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, was in St. Paul, Minn., earlier this month to talk to 150 local police investigators and youth social workers about the clues to satanic and occult crimes.

Simandl, who has been studying cult crimes around the nation for five years, rattles off stories about ritual murders that rock the most seasoned detectives. They are stories of ritual sacrifice, child molestation, grave robberies and teenage suicide.

“It was terrifying,” said Solveig Storhoff, a Ramsey County, Minn., child-protection worker who attended the conference. “I became aware later of what it was I was afraid of: It was the unknown. It was chilling and overwhelming. You don’t want to admit this is going on.”

Assistant Hennepin County (Minn.) Attorney George Widseth said that while he knows of no satanic cults investigated in Minnesota, he’s convinced that cult crime has become a national phenomenon. …

While there are no statistics, enough documented criminal cases involving Satan-worshipers have cropped up around the country in the past five years to lead Simandl and about a dozen other police detectives to begin looking for patterns and links.”
