The Meaning of Hermes

In mythology, the Phoenician God Hermes was known by the Greeks and Romans as Mercury. He is credited with the invention of Hermes 4the fine arts,’ of the lyre, of medicine, of letters, of commerce, of magic, and of wrestling. The ancient Egyptians version of Hermes was known as Thoth, who was also the inventor of writing, magic and the arts. He is sometimes referred to as the trickster, and in the Iliad he was called “the bringer of good luck,” “guide and guardian”, and “excellent in all the tricks.” Hermes is also known as an inventor of fire, god of commerce and profit.

The confusion, or multitude of various character aspects to the God Hermes is primarily due to both the mythological creations by various authors such as Homer who attributed secrets, or their own perceptions to his character, and also the many authors who have also done the same. Fast forward 3,000 years to today and thousands of stories later, and we now have the end result being about 100 different meanings for this God.

Over the course of my research during the last several years, I have come to realize that if you want to find the true meaning of any subject, myth or God, you have to begin by studying the actual etymology of the words used to name that which you seek to understand. Another rule I have, is that you cannot be placed under a spell by those authors who spell and entrance their words and works into your head, without doing your own type of magical spelling to make sure you do not become spell bound.

Hence, don’t be tricked by the trickster……. (more…)

The Infant Hercules Strangles the Serpent (Worm)

In ancient Greek mythology, the warfare between the newly incarnated soul into the flesh was symbolized in the myth of Hercules and serpentthe two giant serpents and Hercules. The story relates that while the half-man and half-god Hercules was an infant in his cradle, the Greek goddess Hera (Roman Juno – protector and special counselor of the state) had sent poisonous serpents to kill the child, but he instead strangled the two great snakes that were seeking to devour him.

Hercules was known as a God of heroes, sports, athletes, health, agriculture, and fertility to name a few. Behind this great immortal story of him as an infant, is one of the secret keys to alchemy and health, in which every man and woman is threatened by the devouring jaws of the serpent at the very movement of their incarnation. It also shows the role in which the state aids the snakes, and how we must be wise as serpents and strong as the God of health, Hercules in order to outsmart and kill these man devouring creatures.

I have written on this subject before, how in ancient mythology the serpent and dragon often symbolized the worms that inhabit all humans on earth. Heroes such as the child Hercules killing the two great serpents were stories of the health of man, conquering the animal flesh and outwitting the state to ensure that the worm does not conquer you to lead to an early death. The Healing Temples of the God Asclepius

“Pure must be he who enters the fragrant temple”Temple of Asclepius

The healing temples of the God Asclepius in ancient Crete and Greece were some of the most famous medical treatment centers (hospitals) ever built in the old world. They were the first sacred structures constructed specifically for the purpose of medical care. These healing temples were named after the Greek God of wisdom, medicine, healing, rejuvenation and physicians,  known as ‘Asclepius’.

Asclepius was the most important healer god of antiquity who brought prosperity to the ancient Greeks and Cretans in the 5th-1st centuries BC. These ancient physicians who served in these temples were also some of the first organized world wide priesthood who traveled the world in order to work for kings, and also themselves because their medical skills were in extreme demand.

They were a hereditary priesthood who at first only admitted family into the medical Brotherhood, and were known by various names throughout history such as the Sons of Asclepius or the Asklepiadi, Koans (Kohen or Kohanim) of Kos, Centaurs, (koan-taurs), the Curetes, and Telchines to name a few. Later in the West, such as in Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Britain, they would be known as the Druids and Culdees. (more…)

The Rod of Asclepius

This ancient symbol to the right is called the Staff or Rod of Asclepius (Esculapius).  His symbol is one of the most famousRod_of_asclepius symbols in the world to this very day, and is represented by the serpent (worm) entwined around a staff or rod. His followers were some of the first priests who were also formally trained as physicians in the medical arts; they were known under such names as the Koans (Kohen) of Kos, the Curetes, Telchines, Ophites, Gnostics, Ascpliades, Druids, Culdees, Levites and the original priests who had helped form the Catholic Church. This fact was somewhat of a surprise to me, and I know it will be to many of my readers. However, if you understand that the worm is one of the most ancient and strongest creatures on earth that is now being verified by science as fact, and that we humans are just descendants of the worm via the sperm, you will then start to comprehend these worm revelations that I have been revealing to you over the last couple of years. The current English and Germanic languages, and modern adaptations of the bible are much different from the ancient Hebrew, Greek and Latin versions. The words we speak and see today are different from those of yesteryear. In order to find the secrets of the past, we must search this ancient history and these older languages to find the truth hidden right before our very eyes.
